URA Major Tournament Details:
URA Majors are the only tournaments that players can earn points towards their URA season rankings based on their results. The top 12 teams based on total URA season points will qualify for the 5.0 Pro division at URA Championships later this Fall.
Majors are also the only tournaments that players can [re]qualify for the Elite division. The top 2 teams in the 4.0 division will qualify for Elite. Existing Elite players must re-qualify for Elite each year by getting past the first round of bracket play in any Major (either by winning, or earning a "bye")
Pool Play Details:
- All divisions will have 5-6 teams in each group, playing 1 game to 15, hard cap 21.
- If a pool must have 4 teams, teams will play 1 game to 21, hard cap 25.
Elimination Bracket Details:
- Bracket seeding will be determined by: 1. Losses (inverse), 2. Head-to-head record, 3. Point diff ratio.
- Each division may be split up into multiple brackets to ensure more even competition.
- 4.5 Division: The top 2 teams in each pool will earn a spot in the 5.0 Bracket. There may be a couple wild-card spots so that the 5.0 bracket has either 8, 12, or 16 teams.
- All winner's bracket matches will be the best 2-out-of-3 games to 21, no hard cap.
- Winners move on, losers move to a consolation bracket.
- All consolation matches will play 1 game to 21.
Podium Prizes:
- The top 3 teams from each division will earn trophies. The 1st place team in each division will also win additional prizes. Specific prizes for each tournament are TBD based on sponsors, but may include URA tournament discounts, Premier Spike merchandise / equipment or other sponsor prizes.
